Awesome place, good for family. A store in the reception, convenient. Room service simply can't be beat too...

The breakfast was hot, loved private parking. Give kudos to valet. Downtown Portland is a district that deserves exploring.
Nothing to dislike.

The location is fabulous. One can walk any place and it's great not to have to drive. You can leave your car parked in valet the entire day of your check out and that is an excellent reason to visit again. My daughter and I had a corner room and we enjoyed it very much. The rooms are large and the bed was very comfortable.

I was impressed with the room & the amenities, specially the 2 huge lcd TVs. The king size bed was very comfortable as well and the room was very spacious.
Except for the insufficient lighting inside the room where we had our breakfast buffet.

The front desk staff and doormen were very helpful. We stayed here last year and enjoyed it then, but this time we had an even better time. My children love the breakfast. I do not know the name of the omelette maker on August 22nd Monday at 9:00 am, but let him know he does an excellent job. People in line, as well as myself, loved his humour as well as his positive energy in the mist of multi-tasking. We will be back next year. Good job to all both front and back of the house!

Beautiful hotel throughout. Fantastic restaurant adjacent to lobby. Great pool, two hottubs, sauna, and gym. The rooms are gorgeous and very well appointed.
Interior "connector door" with a good size gap at the bottom allowed every noise from our neighbors into our room (a family with a baby who didn't want to go to sleep until well after midnight each night).

Fantastic refurbished old downtown hotel with large, comfortable rooms and a very nice buffet breakfast.

Beautifully appointed suite, plenty of space for 3 adults with lots of luggage. Most comfortable bed with perfect pillows! The valets/ front door attendants were wonderful - nothing was too much trouble, gave great coffee & dining tips as well! Would certainly return.

Hotel was built in 1915. Amazing building representative of the Gilded Age and wonderful history of the region. Don't miss it. Great location, good advice from staff and fabulous breakfast with special order options. Spacious room made me feel at home. Amazingly QUIET for the location. Don't walk alone late at night, but the daytime greenways are great for exercise.
Nothing. You will love it.

The hotel's an old classic with an interesting lobby. The room was clean, comfortable and thankfully the temperature controls were easy to use. The manager's happy-hour with free drinks was a nice touch.
The hotel is between the Old Town/Chinatown area and downtown, with lots of street people & panhandlers during our visit. Our room was on the third floor and looked out at heating ducts with little natural light.

What could be better than waking up to a warm breakfast and ending the evening with a free cocktail? The room was very clean and spacious. Bed was one of the most comfortable i've slept in, with a range of pillow types. Workout room had really nice equipment including two Precor elliptical machines along with weights etc. Didn't get a chance to use the pool/hot tub but it looked nice. It is close to public transit. Overall, this was an excellent hotel in a great location for tourist (close to walking tours, Voodoo Donuts, Stumptown Coffee etc) or business travelers.

We went to Portland for both business and leisure. The conference was at Marriott Downtown Waterfront. We stayed there for a couple of nights, but decided to move to Embassy Suites. Our daughter was happily surprised by the spacious lobby and the room. We also love the hot breakfast. That's why we selected the same hotel when we visited Seattle.
The noise insulation was bad. Our first night was great. However, we were awoken around 3:00 a.m. by the noises from our adjacent room. We had to call the front desk. We could even hear their phone ringing. Otherwise, we had a great stay.
